CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY EXPLAINED
Clinical Psychologists have specialised training in the assessment and treatment of psychological and psychiatric conditions. As Clinical Psychologists, we have extended our training beyond a four year Bachelor Degree and completed an additional post-graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at a Master or Doctorate level. In addition to many years of practical experience, this educational pathway has provided us with the highest level of clinical training available for Psychologists in Australia.
Over the last 18 years, the practice has earned a very well-known and highly respected reputation for providing specialised clinical psychology services to the Cairns and surrounding community. As a testament to our reputation, we regularly receive referrals from as far North as Mossman and Cook Town, as far West as the Tablelands and as far South as Innisfail.
DR INA FLOCKHART
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Dr Ina is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist by the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Board with full national registration. Dr Ina has completed a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours (4yrs) and a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (3yrs). She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).
Dr Ina has worked in various government and non-government organisations, in employee assistance and organisational consultancy roles as well as in clinical private practice for over 20 years. She was the Director of Dr Ina Flockhart & associates Pty Ltd, leading a team of up to six psychologists plus support staff over the years. Dr Ina has passed on her expertise and supervised many other psychologists in Cairns and around Australia to reach their potential to become Clinical Psychologists.
Now, Dr Ina has decided to follow her passion of providing a very personalised Women's Psychology Service tailored specifically to the needs of women. Welcoming you into beautiful private practice rooms offering you an individualised boutique psychology service.
